A Former air hostess Betty reportedly resigned her job and sold everything she owned to give the money to Pastor Paul Mackenzie, the head of a cult in Malindi, shocking her friends and coworkers.

It was later, revealed that Betty had joined the Mackenzie-led Good News International Church in the Shakahola Forest in Kilifi County.

The news that Betty had given up her lucrative job as an air hostess and sold her property in order to give all of her money to Pastor Paul Mackenzie surprised her friends and coworkers. She had joined his Malindi cult church, it was later discovered.

According to reports, Betty took a flight into Kenya after her son Jason supposedly died while she was in Qatar.

She subsequently sold her possessions and purchased a one-way ticket to Malindi, where she disappeared.

According to her sister, Betty wrote a tearful letter to her husband, warning him that she might not come home. She then left with all her children.

Betty’s tragic story took an even more gruesome turn when police in Shakahola forest discovered 47 bodies near the Good News International Church led by Pastor Paul Mackenzie.

Children were among the dead, and police are continuing to exhume more bodies. Mackenzie is in custody and awaiting a court appearance.

After the victims were found, many people questioned how such a tragedy could occur in the present.

The covert cult church has been recruiting unwary members with the promise of seeing Jesus for years.
