The video of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi shedding tears during his press conference, has become a major topic of discussion on the internet.
Peter Obi is understood to have shed a tear while lamenting the extent of electoral malpractices that characterized the Nigeria's presidential election which he emerged the second runner up to the eventual winner, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC). The presidential election was not short of violence which comprised the death of a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who served at a polling unit presiding officer.
At the international press conference, Obi emphasized that he will reclaim his mandate through the acceptable legal process. He reiterated that he is certain that he won the 2023 presidential election and will do everything within the orbit of the law so as to reclaim his stolen mandate.
