Ahead of the March 18th governorship election, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is threatened by the rising popularity of the Labour Party (LP) in his state. Recall that Labour Party defeated the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the presidential election in Lagos.
Consequently, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is understood to be mending his fences by being more open to the public. Sanwo-Olu has in recent days undertaken actions that political analysts interpreted as his being desperate and anxious.
The governor in an interview on Arise Tv, apologized to the Lagos State residents over the infamous event of EndSARS massacre at Lekki toll gate. According to him, he has learnt his lessons and regrets the outcome of his decision to invite the military to quell the protest.
Interestingly, while trying to endear himself to the people, Sanwo-Olu is filmed shaking hands of congregation randomly at a Worship center.
Netizens have adjudged Sanwo-Olu's recent actions as failed Public Relation campaign.
