Video: Girl's viral TikTok Video Saves Family Business

 In a series with CBS Morning, Jennifer Lee, daughter of the proprietors of Lee's Noodle House has narrated how her inspiration to review her family's restaurant's menu on TikTok saved the business. The Lee family had successfully run the Vietnamese restaurant for over twenty years in Santa Rosa California until financial started in 2017 after the largest wildfire in California history devastated Santa Rosa. The Lee family building survived but they were put out of business for months. As a result, they experienced decline in patronage.

The first video Jennifer posted of her family business begging people to go eat at her parents'restaurant and giving a review of the menu and house specials, garnered over 1.4 million views. People rushed to eat at her parents restaurant to the point where Jennifer had to fly back home to assist her parents with serving the teeming customers. 

A celebrity social media influencer Erika Altes, who lived in the area saw Jennifer's TikTok and went there to eat with her family. She was so impressed with the food that she advertised the restaurant for free. Patronage increased even more and Erika Altes raised over $2,000 dollars for the Lee family restaurant.
