Singer, rapper and songwriter Folarin Falana better known as Falz, has in collaboration with fellow rapper Vector, released a diss track slamming chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu. The diss track titled "Yakubu" hit social media platforms on Thursday 30th March, 2023. In the song, Falz and Vector pointedly insulted the INEC chairman for the gross electoral malpractices and thuggery that characterized the recently conducted presidential elections.

Falz has been extremely vocal in his disapproval of the current electoral process in the country. The singer who made a series of call-outs and "savage responses" on social media, accused the INEC chairman of imposing Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Nigerians. Falz pointedly state that Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was declared winner of the recently conducted presidential election was "INEC Select" and not "President-Elect" as Professor Mahmood Yakubu manipulated results and foisted Tinubu on Nigerians.
