Elder statesman and veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie who commemorates his 76th birthday today, 7th of March, 2023, revealed that he is not happy despite today being his birthday.
Recall that last year, the governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Gburugburu Ugwuayi organized a birthday party for the veteran actor as he celebrated his 75th birthday. However, a year after, the actor's 76th birthday seems not to be as impressive to him as many had anticipated.
In a statement he made through his social media handle, he revealed that he is not happy over the state of the country especially as he is unable to make withdrawal of his money in banks due to the Central Bank of Nigeria's financial policy which has plunged many Nigerians into avoidable hardship.
“I’m 76 today. I should be happy today but I'm not because I can’t go to the bank to withdraw money which belongs to me”, he wrote.

The elder statesman was thereafter commended by Nigerians for expressing his displeasure at the ongoing financial crisis ravaging Nigerians.
