Netizens have reacted harshly to the bakery announcement by LASU with many referring to it as "embarrassing". Critics fired at the University's vice-chancellor by stating that the photo of Prof Olatunji-Bello holding up two loaves of the LASU Bread is her contribution to STEM research and academia. Netizens further stated that Nigerian universities never emulate other countries by partnering with important organisations to increase IGR, instead, they take to ridiculous endeavours which are worrisome and a proof of the fact that Nigeria is obviously not ready to academically compete on an international scale.
