The popular Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuka, popularly known as Iyanya has revealed that he spent N52 million on the song, video and promotion of hit song ‘Like’ which featured Davido and Kizz Daniel.
The singer had initially taken to his Instagram handle to reveal his worries about the high cost of music promotion.
He revealed this while commenting on an Instagram post made by Adesope Olajide who is a Nigerian UK based Media personality, radio and television personality.
The singer also revealed that he spent 52 million naira in promoting the
song ‘Like’ and that 27 million naira is the cheapest amount he has ever spent
in a music promotion.
He, however, urged upcoming artiste to not be discouraged by his revelation because all they need in the long run is to be consistent.
This information which spread quickly has got music lovers showing various reactions as the amount sounds outrageous.
The artiste also uses the medium to encourage upcoming artistes not to get discouraged.
He wrote “The cheapest I have spent on a song since January 2021 is n27m. When I dropped “LIKE” FT Davido and Kizz Daniel, we spent N52 million, on song, video and promotion. This should not discourage any up-and-coming artiste, you can do it, and all you need is consistency.”
