Former United States President, Donald Trump has made a grand return on prominent social media platforms Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, two years after he was yanked off them due to his role in the Capitol riot and the Jan. 6, 2021,attack on Congress by his followers.
Trump on Friday, March 17, shared a video that showed one of his previous election speeches.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business," Trump was seen
saying in the video, captioned "I'M BACK."
Google-owned Video sharing platform, YouTube had earlier on Friday restored
Trump's channel.
"We carefully evaluated the continued risk of real-world violence, while
balancing the chance for voters to hear equally from major national candidates
in the run up to an election," YouTube said in a tweet, referring to its
move to restore his account.
Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts had earlier this year been reinstated, his
Twitter account was restored in November by the platform's new owner Elon Musk,
but Trump has yet to post on Twitter.
