How: Nigerians Are Receiving N5k Cash Gift From The Feds

 

THE Federal Government disclosed that close to 1,940,004 Nigerians are currently receiving N5, 000 cash gifts each, every month, which is not up to one third of its population.

According to the Minister of Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Farouq, the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) is on the verge of impacting the lives of poor Nigerians through some four programmes Empowerment system, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), and the Conditioner Cash Transfer Programme (CCTP).

She explained that the programmes were designed to serve as various forms of assistance to enable them to become productive members of society and prevent more people from falling below poverty line.
