How Britain Is Responsible For Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's Continual Detention - Kanu's Lawyer Reveals

Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, counsel  to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra ( IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has revealed that the government of the United Kingdom is responsible for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's Continual detention by Department of State's Security Service.

Kanu who was renditioned in Kenya in a questionable across the border operation orchestrated by the Nigeria's government, was however discharged by the Nigeria's court of Appeal. However, despite the ruling by the court of Appeal, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has remained in the custody of the DSS.

Through his Twitter handle, Aloy Ejimakor noted that the British government reticence on Kanu's Continual detention and its inability to request that Kanu who is a U.K citizen, be freed by the Nigeria's authority, is the major reason Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is still being held.

"The focus on Court orders for freeing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is ONLY because Britain is (as yet) reluctant to assert her diplomatic clout against Nigeria like it did in the case of the attempted rendition of Umaru Dikko in 1984.What happened to the ‘greatness’ in Great Britain?" He tweeted.

There are reports that Mazi Kanu has been denied necessities in detention including good medical treatment. His health is said to be deteriorating as the Buhari's government has failed to give him access to good health care nor allow his family to provide one for him.
