The People’s Democratic Party candidate for the Imo State House of Assembly, Ifeanyi Ozoemena, country home has been razed by gunmen.
The candidate confirmed that his house and that of his father in Okigwe Local Government Area of the state were razed by the gunmen.

According to Engr Ifeanyi Ozoemena, he said, “they struck around 2pm, threw improvised explosive devices into the houses and also on the cars parked within the compound, and zoomed off while shooting sporadically into the air to scare the people.
“I am grateful to God that no life was lost including that of my aged parents,” he said.
“I have described this incident as barbaric and inhumane and I expect the security agencies for adequate security and to ensure that the perpetrators were apprehended.”
However, when contacted, the spokesperson of the state police command state Henry Okoye (ASP) said he was yet to be briefed about the incident and promised to respond as soon as possible.
