An unnamed source has disclosed that the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike is rattled by Professor Charles Esimone being in charge of the state's election as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer.
According to the speculation, Wike is aware of the uncompromising nature of Professor Charles who served as INEC'S returning officer for Imo State in the February 25th presidential election. The professor, a Deeper Life Bible Church pastor, is said to have resisted and frustrated the attempt by the Imo State governor to influence the presidential election results in favour of his preferred presidential candidate.
Consequently, governor Nyesom Wike is said to be threatened by the uncompromising nature of the new INEC returning officer for Rivers State.

The professor who became notable for his role in Imo state during the presidential election, is the current vice chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
