BREAKING: Senator Ike Ekweremadu Found Guilty of Organ Trafficking Charge

 Former deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice, have been found guilty of organ trafficking charges in the United Kingdom. The couple alongside their  doctor, Dr Obinna Obeta were declared guilty of facilitating the travel of a young man to Britain with an intent to his exploitation after a six week trial at the  Old Bailey. The judge, Justice Jeremy Johnson, will give the trio a sentence at a later date. The couple's daughter Sonia who was in need of the kidney was cleared of the charges.

Ike Ekweremadu and his wife were first charged with conspiracy to traffic organsOn 23 June 2022,  in UK Magistrate’s Court. The victim is a 21 year old unnamed trader had reportedly been offered an illegal reward to become a donor for Sonia Ekweremadu after forced her to drop out of acquiring a Master's degree in film at Newcastle University. The prosecutor told the court that Ike Ekweremadu had carried out negotiations with the 21 year old and other potential donors as "disposable assets".

It is that expected the Ekweremadus will be receiving prolonged sentences following the conviction.
