Bola Ahmed Tinubu Calls Off His 71st Birthday, Gives Reason

 

Nigeria's president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly disclosed that he will not be celebrating his 71st birthday. 

The former governor of Lagos was expected to hold a colloquium for his 71st birthday on Wednesday. In a statement released by Bola Ahmed Tinubu's media aide, Tunde Rahman disclosed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has opted for national prayers over a colloquium for his 71st birthday.

The statement explains that the prayer will be held in Lagos State across five Central Mosques in the state.

"Also to receive prayers among others are President Muhammadu Buhari and First Lady Aisha Buhari, President-elect Tinubu, and his wife, senator Oluremi Tinubu, Vice-President-elect, senator Kashim Shettima, and Hajia Nana Shettima, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, other state governors as well as members of national and state houses of assembly,” the statement read in part.
