Big Brother Naija reality star, actor and model Pere Egbi has disclosed that he had been formerly married. The former reality star made this revelation on an episode of talk show Toke Moments hosted by presenter and media personality Toke Makinwa. Pere Egbi revealed that he had gotten married at the age of 25 and marriage had lasted approximately one year. Pere Egbi told Toke that marriage had taken place shortly after he had moved to America and his former wife had been the first person he had had a serious relationship with.

37 year old Pere Egbi studied nursing and became a professional nurse after acquiring a degree from the University of Texas in the United States of America. He also served in the US military for six years before he made the decision to return to Nigeria. Pere entered the Big Brother Naija reality show as a housemate for the show' sixth season titled: “Shine Ya Eye”. The earned himself the nickname "The General" while in the house.
