Amid the scarcity of the new naira notes as well as the difficulty in swapping the old naira notes for the new ones, a video trending online shows that Nigerians now bleach their old naira notes so as to look like the new ones.
In a video obtained by the Exola Tv, some old notes of one thousand naira were reportedly bleached to look like the new one thousand naira notes.
The Man in the video explained that a household bleach, hypo can be used to bleach the old naira notes as he illustrated in the video.
Recall that fake notes of the new one thousand naira have been in circulation since the Nigeria's financial authority, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) announced its release of the recoloured naira notes while urging Nigerians to swap their old notes for the new ones.
