The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a courtesy visit to the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike during his presidential campaign rally in Rivers State.
It was speculated on the media that despite governor Wike's support for Tinubu that the Rivers State indigenes were reluctant to attend the APC's presidential rally. During the courtesy visit, Bola Ahmed Tinubu noted that it was imperative for his campaign team to accord him due respect by coming to see him.
While speaking, governor Wike described Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a man of integrity who respects and abides by agreement. He declared that though Tinubu has the leadership skills to lead Nigeria but he will neither campaign for him nor against him.
Wike has come under intense criticism for his secret support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu despite belonging to the opposition party.
