Halima Abubakar, the actress who announced a break from her career as a result of ill health a few months ago, has put up a post thanking her colleague Regina Daniels as well as her billionaire husband and politician Prince Ned Nwoko, for clearing up her medical expense of over 20 million naira. Halima Abubakar who posted a message of appreciation on her official social platform thanked Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko for "changing her smile" and urged her fans and followers to say a prayer for the couple.

Halima Abubakar was for many years embroiled in a romance scandal with general overseer and founder of Omega Fire Ministries Apostle Johnson Suleman. Halima became a victim of series of unclear health conditions that defied medical care and this prompted her to point accusing fingers at her erstwhile lover Apostle Suleman. The Apostle has repeatedly denied all of Halima's claiming of being her lover and went on to seek legal redress. Halima Abubakar continues to maintain her claims against the pastor.
