Naira Scarcity, Chaos in Mile 12, Lagos As Hoodlums Riot

 The Naira redesign policy of the Nigerian Government has had its implementation fraught with many challenges, especially the little availability of the new notes in circulation,

The naira scarcity has led to series of protests in many parts of Nigeria, with casualties recorded in Edo and Delta States, and other parts of the country that had skirmishes of violence.

There was unrest in Mile 12, Lagos State today as street urchins, also known as hoodlums rioted over the scarcity of new Naira notes.

The hoodlums who were enraged with the non-availability of the new notes, coped with the non-acceptance of the old notes started causing pandemonium in the area.

The rioters were spotted telling drivers on the Mile 12 road to turn around as they gathered to launch their demonstration.
They burned tires on the road, blocking commuters, with pope seeing fleeing for their life’s in the pandemonium that ensued.
