Popular comedian and skit-maker, Adebowale Adedayo, also known as Mr. Macaroni has berated the use of his picture on an Obi-Datti campaign rally flyer without consent.
Mr. Macaroni on several occasions has said though he will be voting for the Labour
Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, he will not campaign for any politician.
A Twitter user with the moniker, @iam_deUltimate on Wednesday posted a campaign
flyer that has Mr. Macaroni’s image in it, reminding the skit maker of his
earlier stand of not campaigning for any candidate.
He tweeted: “Thought @mrmacaronii said he won be campaigning
for any party.”
Mr. Macaroni I his response to the tweet revealed that he is unaware as his
picture was used without his consent.
He wrote,
I will address this again for clarity's sake. I am voting for
Peter Obi because he is MY preferred choice.
“It is my civic duty to vote but I’m not obliged to campaign for him or any
other Politician. I am not against others who do so but this was put out
without my consent!
