Mr. Macaroni Accused of Hypocrisy After He Publicly Rejected Peter Obi's Invitation

 


Popular Nigerian skit maker, Mr. Macaroni has been criticized and described by some as arrogant over his public rejection of the invite by the Labour Party (LP) to appear at the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign rally in Lagos.

Music superstars: J. Martin, Psquare; and foremost activist, Aisha Yesufu are to make appearance at the LP presidential campaign rally in Lagos at the Abubakar Tafewa Balewa square on 11th of February, 2023. Mr. Macaroni who was billed to appear at the rally, while reacting to a poster shared on social media by Peter Okoye of the Psquare band and which has Mr. Macaroni as one the celebrities to grace the rally, explained that he will not attend the slated campaign rally. According to Mr. Macaroni, he will only be casting his vote for Mr. Peter Obi and wouldn't take part in campaigning for him.

"Peter Obi is my preferred Candidate. And I am casting my one vote for him. But I won’t be at this Rally,” Mr Macaroni said.

The skit maker had previously warmed the public to stop linking him to Campaign rallies for any politician. He declared that he would not at any time campaign for any politician.

"MR MACARONI DOES NOT AND WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY POLITICAL RALLY FOR ANY POLITICIAN! 

“I have made public my preferred Candidate and that is who I will vote for. 

“But I will not urge or beg anyone to vote for who I want to vote for. That is for each person to decide”, he tweeted.
