Kate Henshaw Releases Statement Warning El-Rufai on Misguided Utterances Against Nollywood

 Nollywood actress and Director of Communications Actors Guild of Nigeria, Kate Henshaw has on behalf of the Guild's president, Chief Ejezie Emeka Rollas, released a press statement addressing the Kaduna state governor on his remarks of labelling Peter Obi "a Nollywood actor". The actress stated that the "diminutive" Mallam Nasir El-Rufai's Nollywood comparison was degrading and derogatory to the profession and its members.

Kate Henshaw further stated that using actors to make sarcastic examples of an unintelligent person is arrogant and condescending of a public officer. On behalf of the Guild's president Chief Ejezie Emeka Rollas, Kate Henshaw called on El-Rufai to withdraw his derogatory and demeaning statement, as well as tender an immediate unreserved apology to Nollywood actors. She warned that "enough is enough" of the derision of the noble profession called acting.

Netizens have reacted with hilarity and derision at Kate Henshaw's use of the word "diminutive" in physical description of Kaduna state governor, Nasir  El-Rufai and have termed it a fitting description of the governor's appearance.
