Football superstar and Portuguese national football team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has in his unveiling by his new Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr, countered claims about him by some European Media
After his fallout with the Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo was reported not to have attracted any strong interest from a prominent European club. The Portuguese star who had in his earlier interview, noted that he will finish his illustrious career at top a European club, made a surprise switch to a Saudi Arabia club in a mouth-watering deal.
Speaking at his unveiling by his new club, Cristiano refuted the reports that no club wanted him; the reason he signed for Al-Nassr. He said that he attracted interest from European clubs, South-American clubs, and Australian clubs. He said that his choice of Al-Nassr was determined by his discovery of the immense opportunities available in Saudi Arabian league.
“I can say now that many opportunities in Europe, many clubs in Brazil, in Australia, US and even in Portugal many clubs tried to sign me”.
“I gave my word to this club; only to Al Nassr”.
