Shocking! 8 Labour Party Candidates, PCC Member Join APC In Jigawa



The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State on Friday welcomed at least 8 Labour Party (LP) state assembly candidates.

In a statement by the media aide to Jigawa State governor, Habibu Kila, the eight candidate from Auyo, Kirikasamma, Bulangu, Malammadori, Kafin Hausa, Birniwa, Guri and Kaugama constituencies, were received into the party by Governor Muhammad Badaru, at an event in the government house.
According to Kila, the governor also received a member of the northern presidential campaign council of the Labour Party who dumped the party and joined the APC.
In his words:

“Governor Badaru expressed his appreciation to them and promised that they will be carried along in all party activities and urged them to be loyal party members.”

In the statement, one of the defectors, Muhammad Makinta, from Guri Local Government Area, who was said to have spoken on behalf of his colleagues, said they joined the APC after they realized that the party in the state has more prospects.

Mr Makinta said the new APC members will make sure all APC candidates in the general election emerge victorious..
