Following legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Al-Nassar, the Saudi Arabian professional league, reports have revealed that the footballer is set to live in the country with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez in the country. Saudi Arabia marriage law forbids couples who are not married from living together. The country is home to Mecca and Medina, the two holiest cities in Islam.
Saudi Arabia is one of the few countries that have "religious police" (known as Haia or Mutaween), who patrol the streets "enjoining good and forbidding wrong" by enforcing dress codes, strict separation of men and women.However, in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo, the country is set to overlook this law and will not be punishing the footballer for cohabitation. Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez who have three children together, have been in a relationship since 2016.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus forward signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to play in the Saudi Pro League and according to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo will receive $75 million per year to make the highest-paid player in history.
