The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi whose reputation has continued to soar across the country, has again shown humility which many have incessantly attributed to him.
Obi enjoys outrageous acceptance especially among the Nigerian youths for his frugal attribute and unflinching foresight for good governance via conservative administration of state's resources. His accomplishment in Anambra State during his governorship administration has etched his name on the mind of Nigerians desirous of good governance which for decades has eluded them and which Obi is promising him.
While he held a town hall meeting with some students of the Afe Babalola University, Ekiti State, Peter Obi told his audience that he prefers to be addressed simply as "Mr. Peter Obi" and not as "Dr. Peter Obi".
He further revealed that he has been awarded honorary doctorate degree by seven different universities; awards he said he declined.

"I don't want to be referred to as a Doctor Peter Obi, I don't have a doctorate degree. I am simply Peter Obi. Yes, seven universities in Nigeria offered me an Honorary Doctorate, but I declined the offers", he said.
