Foremost secessionist group in Nigeria, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's younger brother, Kingsley Kanu has been suspended by the group over his alleged rebellion.
The suspension of Mr. Kingsley was signed by the national coordinator of IPOB in Germany, Collins Chinedu and released to the public by the spokesperson of the group, Emma Powerful.
The group accuses Mr. Kingsley of insubordination and causing division and infighting among the members of the group. According to the statement, Mr. Kingsley uses his link to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to engage in anti-IPOB activities which includes forming a parallel leadership in Germany and flouting the group’s code of conduct.

Since the rearrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the Nigeria's Secret Police in an across-the-border operation; and his continual detention, the IPOB family has not remained one especially in their pursuit for the restoration of the defunct Biafra nation.
There are reports that the group is grappling with infighting and insubordination to its global leadership in the absence of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
