The electoral tribunal sitting in Osun State to review the Osun State 2022 governorship election has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue certificate of return to the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adegboyega Oyetola.
The three man-electoral tribunal chaired by Justice Tertse Kume ruled that Certificate of Return be issued to the second first runner-up and immediate past governor of Osun State, Oyetola. In the majority decision of two against one, it was ruled that there were over voting in some polling units which resulted in governor Adeleke's victory.

However, the Nigeria litigation system allows Governor Adeleke to appeal the decision of the Tribunal at the appellate court while he remains the executive governor of the Osun State.
Recall that in 2018, the electoral tribunal had ruled in Adeleke's favour while Oyetola served as the newly elected governor of the state. Oyetola further appealed the decision of the electoral tribunal and won at the supreme court.
Never saw him as a Governor, he was just a joke of a Governor .
