The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has been described as a man of "no vain word", in local parlance: "talk and do". Asides his unofficial national name: Mr. Project, Wike is known as a man who doesn't back down on his words.
A few weeks ago, Nyesom Wike invited the presidential candidate of the Labour Party ( LP), Peter Obi to Commission a bridge his administration constructed. While speaking about Peter Obi's presidential ambition, he noted that Peter Obi is a man of integrity. He then promised that whenever Labour Party (LP) holds its presidential campaign in Rivers State that the Rivers State government will support with logistics and security.
Interestingly, as Labour Party (LP) holds its presidential campaign rally in Rivers State today, pictures of the logistics and security support the Rivers State government accorded LP have been making the rounds on social media.
An ardent supporter of Peter Obi on Twitter: @Victorisrael_ shared some pictures of the caliber of security personnels at the LP Campaign ground in Rivers State.
Meanwhile, Nigerian music superstars, the Psquare band will be at the Presidential Campaign Rally of the LP in Rivers State.
The duo announced that they will be at the campaign rally through their Twitter handle.
