Comedian Julius Agwu has confirmed separation from his wife, Ibiere. The comedian confirmed the separation when he went live with OAP and broadcaster Daddy Freeze. He also talked about his health challenges, as he revealed that he spent 3 months in coma, in 2016, after his brain surgery and decided to slow down for a while, hence his absence from the comedy scene. Julius produced comedy shows like Crack Ya Ribs, Laff 4 Christ's Sake and Festival of Love.

According to Julius Agwu in his live session with Daddy Freeze, Ibiere said "she's not marrying me anymore"as she was tired of the marriage. He stated that his kids are doing well and resident in the United States. While expressing gratitude to God for preserving his life, Julius stated: "That’s why I thank God I am alive. Satan works in mysterious ways, but God works in miraculous ways.”. Julius and Ibiere got married in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 31st May, 2008. The now separated couple has two children together, Zahra and Zadok. Ibiere is an entrepreneur, wig and dressmaker .
