Reactions have trailed a video of foremost non-denominational evangelist, Uma Ukpai praying for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi ahead of his presidential campaign rally in Akwa Ibom.
It is understood that Peter Obi paid homage to the popular preacher before he commences his presidential campaign rally in Akwa Ibom today.
However, it is the manner in which Peter Obi knelt before Reverend Uma Ukpai while being prayed for that has attracted the most reactions from Nigerians. While Uma Ukpai prayed for God's protection and Spirit of excellence upon Peter Obi, his entourage echoed Amen.
Peter Obi has been accused by his political opponents of frequenting churches with the bid to win the votes of the Christians. He is accused of breaching the New Nigeria 's electoral Act which forbids politicians and Political parties from Campaigning at worship centres.
