Nigerians are shocked by trending video of some staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reportedly extracting forensic details of some Voter's Card for Political parties in Lagos State.
The video which is embedded below, shows how some staff of INEC at an unnamed INEC office in Lagos were remorselessly extracting Voter's Card unique numbers for electoral fraud.
It is being suspected that the Voter's Card unique numbers are sold out to Political parties who then clone a prototype of the original voter's card using the unique numbers.
Despite the virality of the video as well as the weight of the allegation, INEC is yet to issue any statement on the development which is capable of discrediting the electoral process.
In the past, INEC officials have been accused of conniving with politicians and Political parties to rig elections.
Hence, with the latest development, Nigerians are worried that the 2023 general elections might not as well be a credible one. Appeals have also been made to INEC and the law enforcement agencies to investigate the allegation made in the video.
