Famous singer acclaimed for her strong vocal cords, Céline Dion, has tearfully revealed to the public via a video that she has been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a neurological disorder affecting her muscles. The singer stated that she had been dealing with the incurable disease and problems with her a health for a very long time and needed time away from music to concentrate on her health and recovery process. Céline also rescheduled her spring shows for 2023 to 2024 and cancelled 8 of her summer 2023 shows. Dion is also one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with record sales of more than 200 million worldwide.
Stiff-person syndrome (SPS), also known as stiff-man syndrome (SMS)] is a rare neurologic disorder of unclear cause characterized by progressive rigidity and stiffness. It affects one in 1 million people. Chronic pain, impaired mobility, and lumbar hyperlordosis are common symptoms of this disease.
