A video of Yoruba actor Ebun Oloyede better known as Olaiya Igwe, is currently making the rounds on social media. In the video, the actor was seen bare chested waist-deep in a pool praying to the water spirits and invoking the god of thunder lightning on behalf of the APC's presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The actor fervently prayed for Tinubu to win the forthcoming presidential in 2023. Olaiya Igwe further urged God to remove the suffering of Nigerians.
It is no surprise that Olaiya Igwe is fervently wishing that the APC's presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu becomes president. Olaiya Igwe, who hails from Ogun State, has recently been in the news for his unusual gratitude to his benefactors, Tinubu and MC Oluomo. In 2014, Tinubu reportedly intervened in the actor's health problems when he solicited funds for treatment of his kidney disease. He was also gifted a car by Mc Oluomo earlier in August 2022. Musiliu Akinsanya (aka Mc Oluomo) is the chairperson of the Lagos State Park and Garages Management.

Netizens have reacted to the video of Olaiya's prayer with mixed reactions. Some referred to him as diabolic and trying to invoke fear in the minds of Nigerians. Yet others say that he's free to pray on anyone's behalf to any "God" of his choice as freedom of religion exists in the country.
