Father of Sylvester Oromoni, deceased student of Dowen College Lagos, has cried out at the fact that Sylvester is yet to be buried after one year of his demise. Sylvester Oromoni died on November 30, 2021 as a result of alleged torture and bullying from senior students of the college. Sylvester had died a few days after he received internal injuries from the poisonous black substance he had been forced to ingest by the fellow students.
Sylvester Oromoni snr, father of the deceased, lamented that the constant delay in coroner's inquest is responsible for the fact that his son is yet to be buried one year after his tragic death which had caused a great deal of public outcry. Sylvester Oromoni snr, has issued the Panel set up last year, as an inquiry into his son's death, a 30-day ultimatum to make its report known to the public so as to enable the family move on with their next line of action.

Mr Oromoni accused Dowen College of displaying several antics in order to delay the coroner's inquest regarding his son's death. He further stated that a one year memorial had been held to tell Nigerians of the antics of Dowen College and how they are preventing him from getting justice for his son. Dowen College is owned by Dr Olumide Phillips who made his daughter, singer and songwriter Lami Phillips, director of the school.
May Sylvester Oromoni's young soul rest in peace and it is our hope that justice prevails.
