Kwankwaso Speaks On Joining Forces With A Forefront Presidential Candidate

The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) and former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso has again reiterated his stance on joining forces with a forefront presidential candidate for the 2023 election.

It is being speculated that the Kano State Politician is under pressure to step down for presidential candidates such as Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

As February 25th draws closer, many still doubt that Kwankwaso is genuinely in the contest.

Consequently, while speaking in Abeokuta yesterday at the Secretariat of the NNPP, Kwankwaso debunked the speculations and described it as mischievous, being peddled by failed politicians.

He assured his supporters that his name will be on ballot in the 2023 presidential election.

"That’s absolute nonsense. You see we believe that we are not above the three or four parties in this country, but by 2023, next year, by the grace of God, the NNPP will win the election at national and all other levels", he said.

"So, these are people who are failed politicians who have nothing to tell Nigerians other than to spread unnecessary rumour of a merger.

“Merger is already gone. We have our candidates. In all the parties, everybody is campaigning. So, disregard that nonsense.”
