Customer Shoots KFC Employee Because Of Corn

 A customer shot an employee at a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet in the Central West End after he was told the restaurant was out of corn, the police report. Corn is one of the most popular side dishes served at KFC. The shooting occurred at a KFC location in  Delmar, King's Highway, St Louis, Missouri at about 6:30pm on 12 December, 2022.

The shooter, a black man described to be in his 40s or 50s was in the drive-thru line when employees told him the restaurant was out of corn. Police say he then started making threats through the speaker box. The suspect afterwards, drove up to the drive-thru window with a handgun. One of the employees, a 25 year old male, went outside to meet the man and was shot in the abdomen by the customer. He was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition. The suspect fled the scene. The search for the suspect is ongoing. according to law enforcement officers, the shooter was last seen wearing a jean jacket with a gray hood.
