Video: Governor Nyesom Wike Reveals Atiku's Shocking Response To Goodluck Ebele Jonathan When He Pleaded For His Support In 2015

A few hours after a meeting between the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan ended in a stalemate, Wike has made some startling revelation about the duo's past Political relationship.

Recall that in 2015 prior to the general elections which resulted in the defeat of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Atiku Abubakar left the ruling PDP while protesting against Goodluck Jonathan's sought for second term. He argued that Goodluck Jonathan should have forgone his second term ambition to make way for a northern candidate to fly the presidential flag of the PDP. Atiku argued that it was the turn of the northern Nigeria to produce the president of Nigeria especially as Goodluck Jonathan's principal, Umaru Musa Yardua could not complete his tenure in office owing to his regrettable death.

Atiku would later switch his Political allegiance from the ruling PDP to the then newly formed All Progressive Congress (APC); a party he was actively involved in its formation.

According to Wike, Atiku Abubakar mandated Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to relinquish his presidential ticket necessary for peace to reign in the party.
