BREAKING: Christiano Ronaldo Contract Terminated By Manchester United

Christiano Ronaldo contract with Manchester United terminated

Portuguese footballer and former Ballon Dor winner, Christiano Ronaldo has left Manchester United with immediate effect.

The former Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid and Juventus attacker has been embroiled in a controversy with the Manchester United coaching crew after he snubbed being substituted in the wake of the Red Devils win over Tottenham. He was banished from the first team before he was later recalled after a semi apology by the attacker.

The last straw that broke the Carmel's back was Ronaldo's interview with TV personality Piers Morgan where he hit at the club coach and the team's hierarchy over what he termed as lack of respect from the England team officials.

Manchester United in a statement on the club's website wrote:

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
