Rapper, actor and producer Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 CENT, has revealed his intention to produce a TV Series based on the story of convicted Nigerian internet fraudster (yahoo yahoo boy) Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi. 50 Cent Made this revelation on his social media platform where he wrote:"For my scammers I gotta do this one. Hushpuppy series coming soon! GLG, Green Light Gang I don’t miss. #Bransoncognac #lecheminduroi #gunitfilmandtv.” The rapper is known for producing hit TV series like Power, Power Book II, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, amongst others.
Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2020 for swindling over 1.9 million people from around the world including Americans. Following his arrest, the now convicted swindler was handed over to the FBI upon extradition to the US where he later stood trial. On Tuesday 8 November 2022, Hushpuppi was sentenced to over 135 months – over 11 years — in a federal prison. It is likely Hushpuppi provided inside information on several Nigerian scammers in exchange for a reduced sentence, hence his prison nickname "Snitchpuppi".

Until his arrest by the Dubai Police in June 2020 and subsequent extradition to the United States, Hushpuppi posted pictures and videos of his lavish spending on exotic cars, watches, designer clothes, bags from expensive brands like Gucci, Fendi, and Louis Vuitton and of himself boarding helicopters, with celebrities, footballers, and Nigerian politicians or while on charter jets. He claimed to be a real estate developer. A documentary on the life of Abbas up until his arrest has been released by both Bloomberg and BBC Africa.
