October 20, 2020 remains am indelible date in the history of Nigerians. It is remembered as the day the government killed its own people by asking the military to open fire peaceful protesters who had staged a protest at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos. The protest had been staged as public outcry at the incessant brutality meted on youths(especially males) by the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) in Nigeria. The protest evolved into a movement that become known as the #ENDSARS MOVEMENTt# Two years on and 10. 20. 20 has never been forgotten, in fact, it has generated the hashtag #We Will Not Forget#
Singer and lawyer, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz has led other youths in a procession at the same tollgate the massacre took place in 2020. This protest is a second year memorial to all who lost their lives on October 20 2022. Comedian Adebowale Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni was also present at the memorial protest ground alongside the ADC's presidential candidate and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore.

The memorial fliers shared by the rapper urged citizens to visit the tollgate throughout the day to pay respect to their dead loved ones in their own way. Protesters were also advised to refrain from being in possession of any political material during the procession at the tollgate.
