Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, narrowly escaped death today Friday, 21st October 2022, when gunmen hijacked his convoy and murdered about six people including three police orderlies. The assassins were also said to have forcefully obtained and made away with the firearms of the murdered policemen. Apostle Suleman managed to escape an assassination thanks to his bulletproof vehicle which he had remained locked in. Reports have it that attack took place around Warake road in Auchi, a city in Edo state. The apostle's church is also located in the city of Auchi.

Local media further revealed that the apostle had been on his way back home only from a trip to Tanzania when the attack happened. It was also gathered that the attack by the gunmen occurred in broad daylight and that one of the attackers was killed in during a return fire. While an official statement has not been released by Apostle Johnson Suleman, local police has commenced investigation at the crime scene. There is no further report at this time.
