Caritas University Fire Outbreak; Jubilation as Bible Escaped Fire

 An Alumni association of the private catholic university, Caritas University, Enugu, has taken to social media to express gratitude to God for saving lives in a fire incident that occurred at the institution on Friday, 14 October 2022. The post made by the association gave special mention to the fact a bible was not destroyed despite the the inferno that engulfed an entire room. The post reads: "We thank God for saving lives as no one was hurt in the unfortunate fire incident that occurred. Jesus the saviour you are good.. Things in the entire room was burnt but the A Bible was not destroyed. Isn’t this wonderful" .

Varied reactions have trailed the post made by the institution's Alumni Association as a number of people say that religion and the quest for miracles have blinded many fanatics, as it was obvious the post put up by the association paid more attention to the fact that a bible did not get destroyed in the fire. The management of Caritas University is yet to give any press release or statement regarding the fire outbreak.

  1. We thank God that no life was lost. But for Bible, I don't understand its significance because I have also read such about Koran.
