Senior Advocate of Nigeria and human rights activist Femi Falana has granted an interview to the media advising the Labour Party and their presidential aspirant Mr Peter Obi, on their campaign strategies and methods to adopt if they truly intend to win the forthcoming general elections of 2023.
Femi Falana advised that Peter Obi ought to stop using the method of the rich and go beyond visiting those who destroyed Nigeria. He further admonished the Labour Party and its candidate to find practical to mobilize the grassroots by visiting offices of trade unions in the country, women as well as youth organisations. Femi Falana further stated that the Labour Party is up against people who have acquired huge wealth and have also weaponised poverty, therefore, the Labour Party cannot operate on the same terrain as the older and more established political parties.
Femi Falana is a Principal Partner at Falana&Falana Chambers, a law firm he coruns with his wife Funmi Falana. She's a lawyer and women's advocate. Femi Falana contested and lost the governorship election of Ekiti State in 2007 on the platform of the National Conscience Party, a party he served as National Chairman in 2011. Femi and Funmi Falana are parents of popular Nigerian rapper, singer, online comedian and actor Folarin Falana, better known as Falz.
