Video:"We Shall Invoke Deities to Chase Igbos Away from Lagos"Old Video of Remi Tinubu's Declaration Resurfaces

 In a video gradually making the rounds on the internet, Remi Tinubu, senator and wife of the APC's presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said "We will invoke Lagos deities to chase away the Igbos who refused to learn our language. Those who cannot marry the Yorubas, we will inherit their belongings. We're very angry with the Igbos. To make it worse, my sister went on to have an Igbo child" . All of these  declarations were made in the Yoruba language.

Reports clarify that the video which is now trending anew was in fact, recorded in 2019. Many Nigerians have found the video exceedingly tribalistic and have also expressed disappointment at Remi Tinubu for daring to criticise another tribe. It is fairly common knowledge that Mrs Tinubu is half Itsekiri from Delta state.
