The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi who amidst his world tour, arrived Houston, Texas earlier today, has been criticized online for his mindless disregard for the Nigeria's national anthem.
Peter Obi was welcomed by his supporters who came along with a saxophonist who toned the Nigeria's national anthem as Peter Obi arrived in their midst.
However, it is a patriot duty required of all Nigerians at any time and at any point to standstill as the national anthem is being sung.
Hence, Peter Obi's inability to standstill while the saxophonist toned Nigeria's national anthem has been counted for him as a sin. He has been inadvertently been labeled a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by his ardent critics. According to them, Peter Obi's refusal to standstill for the national anthem shows that he has no regard for Nigeria.
