Amid celebration of his 70th birthday, the Catholic bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Mathew Hassan Kukah dance moves to Kiz Daniel's Buga has attracted varying critical reactions from Nigerians.
Recall that yesterday, Bishop Kukah's symposium had in attendance high profile personalities across the width and breath of Nigeria. The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima were in attendance. Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was also in attendance. The Nigeria social media space was awash of birthday prayers and wishes to the highly venerable Nigerian.
However, it's his dance moves that have attracted the most critical reactions from Nigerians as many questioned whether or not it is sinful for a priest to dance to such a "worldly" song and in such a worldly manner.
Also, some have exonerated the priest of any wrong citing that dancing to a hip hop song and in a hip hop fashion does not amount to committing a sin.
