Rev Ogbuchukwu Makuo Lotanna, a priest in Nnewi Anglican Diocese has resigned from the priesthood over his desire to begin a movement in support of polygamy. Reverend Ogbuchukwu who is also a legal practitioner further advised men to marry their side chicks, instead of sleeping around with women whom they’re not married to. He said that it will help in reducing sexual sins.

Reverend Ogbuchukwu also revealed that what God hates is unnecessary divorce and not polygamy in itself. He declared that polygamy is not the bad thing it has been portrayed as by the church, adding that he had taken the time to discover the truth about polygamy, which the Church had been hiding for a very long time. The former priest hails from Mbanagu in Otolo, Nnewi and is married to Chinyere Abigail from Achara in Awka North local government area of Anambra state. Bishop of the Nnewi Anglican Diocese is yet to react to this news.
