A Facebook user with the name Betty Onalife Orji, has cried out over the brutal murder of her father by his younger brother. This sad event took place on Tuesday, 30th August, 2022 in Nnewi, Anambra state. According to the post, her father was shot to death by his younger brother over disconnected electricity. The two brothers had lived in the same compound and the elder brother had disconnected the younger's electricity as a result of his refusal to pay his bill.
The deceased's daughter further narrated that her father had been subjected to series of ill treatment and threats to life over a parcel of land. All of his siblings teamed up to fight him and inflict physical harm on the deceased.

Betty Orji further wrote that the wife of the alleged murder aided her husband by hiding the gun with which her father was shot. She only surrendered the gun on the threat of razing the building. She was thereafter handed over to the community's vigilante group.
